Head Coach: Gerald (Jerry) Hardt

 
Coach Hardt is the founder of HydroElite Aquatics Team.  Over the past decade, Coach Hardt, has coached all levels of swim groups from developmental to national level swimmers.  Coaching at the Clear Lake High School pool, Hardt leads our Heat 1, 2, and 3 groups. Positive team culture, proper technique, swim biomechanics, self-accountability, and team spirit are the foundations of Coach Hardt's philosophy. Coach Hardt has led many Friendswood, Clear Lake, and home school swimmers to multiple UIL 6A & 5A state championship titles, Junior Nationals, Olympic Trials, and HAPPI championship titles.  Many of these swimmers have gone on to swim with Division 1 and 3 college swim programs such as Texas A&M, LSU, University of Kansas, Southern Illinois, UIW, and Connecticut College.  Additionally, Coach Hardt has coached multiple TAGS champions.  Coach Hardt is a long time resident of Friendswood, Texas.  He is married with two sons, has a BBA from Texas A&M, enjoys automotive sports, travel, boating, and koi pond keeping.

Coach Breckelle

Breckelle started swimming on Laporte dogfish at 11 years old, later joining club swimming at the age of 13. While club swimming in high school, Breckelle specialized in backstroke & breaststroke. At 17 years old, she began giving learn-to-swim lessons to little ones and by age 18 became a USA swim coach focusing on young developmental swimmers. Breckelle brings to the table over eight years of club coaching experience so far, and she is currently our lead age group coach for HEAT 5. In her free time Coach Breckelle enjoys biking with her son, wind boarding, baking, crocheting, and of course, swimming. Coach Breckelle will be leading Heat 5 groups and assisting with all other groups at Clear Lake High School pool.

​Coach Eloise

Coach Eloise started swimming as a three year old in College Station, Texas. As an age group swimmer, she qualified for TAGS (Texas Age Group Swimming) meets, and was a four year varsity swimmer for A&M Consolidated High School. She is an active parent in her sons’ swim journeys and has been to numerous swim clinics, camps, and seminars from highly respected coaches and swimmers over the past fifteen years. She enjoys sharing this knowledge and her own experiences in helping young swimmers learn technique for swimming efficiently as well as helping them realize their own swimming potential. Coach Eloise graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology and is a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston. When she is not on the pool deck or at her practice, she enjoys working out at the gym, playing tennis, and travelling with her husband, Jerry, and her two sons, Max and Nick.  Coach Eloise will be assisting with all practice groups.

Coach Josh

Josh began swimming summer league at 7 years old, competitive swimming at 8, and was a four year varsity swimmer at Dobie High School where butterfly was his favorite stroke. In 2017, Josh began his coaching career at the William’s Indoor pool instructing little ones from Montessori schools and kids with learning disabilities to swim. Transitioning to club coaching in 2020, Josh cultivated his coaching abilities and now utilizes his enthusiasm as a lead coach for HEAT 4 as well as our Drylands coach for all groups. Coach Josh is majoring in mechanical engineering specializing in dynamic systems and minoring in mathematics at U of H Clear Lake.  In his free time, Josh enjoys studying, physical training, and target shooting.

Coach Nick

Nick graced the pool with his presence at 3 years old. He swam competitively for 15 years, 4 of those on varsity at Deer Park High School. Coach Nick has 5 years of USA coaching experience and has coached all levels of talent from 8 & under to collegiate athletes. Along with his club coaching experience, he has worked as a learn-to-swim instructor for a year, coached summer league for 2 seasons, and is currently the head coach for swim/dive/waterpolo at Clear Falls High School. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from Texas A&M University and is the loudest and proudest member of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Class of 2019. WHOOP!!! When he’s not at the pool, he enjoys spending time with his family and dogs, working out, and watching Houston sports.  Coach Nick primarily coaches HEAT 4 and assists with HEATS 1,2,3.

Coach Berg

Jacob Berg began swimmimg at 8 years old while growing up in Minnesota. Like many young swimmers, he tried other sports, but by age 15 ultimately chose swimming.  After high school swim in Minnesota, Coach Berg swam four years for South Dakota State University where he focused on sprint freestyle and butterfly.  After earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Math, Coach Berg continued his passion for swimming as a high school swim, dive, & polo head coach for La Porte and Clear Springs High Schools.  During Berg’s high school coach tenure, he was awarded district swim, dive, & polo Coach of the Year, seventeen times, and region Coach of the Year, six times. During summers, Coach Berg is the head coach of an area summer league team and has been their head coach for the past sixteen years. Coach Berg currently is a math educator at Clear Creek High School, is married, and has two young children.  Coach Berg is co-lead coach for HEAT 4 group and assists with other groups as needed.
